Wasabi Storage
In the Wasabi Console, create a bucket and generate an access key/secret key for S3-compatible programmatic access.
Create/select an account
- Sign in to the Wasabi Console at https://console.wasabisys.com with an account that can manage buckets and keys.
Create a bucket
- Left nav: "Buckets" → "Create Bucket".
- Bucket name: globally unique within your Wasabi region.
- Region: pick the desired region (e.g., us-east-1, eu-central-1). Choose the region closest to your workloads.
- Click "Create". Bucket appears in the list.
Generate an access key pair
- Left nav "Access Keys"
- Click "Create New Access Key".
- In the dialog, choose:
- "Root" (full account).
- Click "Create". You will be shown:
- Access Key
- Secret Key
- Copy or download the key file immediately; the secret is shown only once.
Region
Get region name through Get Region.
For example, Tokyo, Japan is assigned with Region name "ap-northeast-1".
Security and rotation tips
- Rotate by creating a new key, updating clients, then deleting the old key from "Access Keys".
