No System Services

Mapfs is a pure software solution. After installation, there are no system services installed.

Doesn't touch Page Cache

Mapfs manages memory itself, doesn't touch Linux page cache. Mapfs doesn't introduce any side effect to the system's memory management, doesn't cause any performance degradation to other applications on the same machine.

We are polite to the system

Mapfs detects system memory usage, and automatically releases some memory if the system's memory usage exceeds 80%.

No Private Data Format

Mapfs doesn't introduce private data format, doesn't make any changes to stored data.

It works like a PlugIn-PlugOut middle layer. After loaded, it speedy up IO performance; After removal, your production runs as before with nothing changed.
